I’m Melissa Kai -
photojournalist, anthropologist
Beyond aesthetics; as a photojournalist, I’m an advocate and ambassador to the natural world, as well as the vast cultures and unique societies that inhabit it.
There is power in the act of storytelling + visuals; it has the potential to evoke emotion and create inspired action. Through shared experiences, we can initiate a global movement that carries society one step closer to peaceful advocacy, and connectedness.
In my work, I cover a range of topics stretching from environmental efforts, natural disasters, and outdoor culture, all the way to humanitarian advocacy, conflict, and political issues.
Regardless of subject matter, together, we can find common ground and create a community of revolutionaries, and world-changers.
This is Visual Storytelling.
